Day 1, Dollar 1 E-Verify Act

This bill amends the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996 to require all Federal contractors, including those in the executive and legislative branches, and all subcontractors at any tier to participate in the E-Verify program and comply with its terms. This codifies President George W. Bush's Executive Order 13465, issued in June 2008, and expands it to include the Legislative Branch and to end the existing minimum value and duration thresholds (which were $150,000 and 120 days, respectively).

Rep. Josh Brecheen (R-OK-2) (Nov. 19, 2025)

Rep. Riley Moore (R-WV-2) (Jan. 20, 2026)
